Magnificent wine Chateau Margaux suddanly appears at the end of plane tree planted alley.
It was built between 1810 and 1816, and its palace-like style is as marvellous as its cellars.
Tour of the cellars by appointment only. Wine tasting is reserved to professionals and there are no direct sales. .
Chateau Margaux grape varieties:
- 75% Cabernet Sauvignon
- 20% Merlot
- 2% Cabernet Franc
- 3% Petit Verdot
Vineyard surface area: 265 hectares
Average annual production: 350,000 bottles

Opening hours: Monday to Friday. Chateau is closed on weekends, french holidays, also during the harvest and August.
